    10 United States Air Force F-105 fighter planes left Korat Airbase in northeast Thailand on Tuesday (29 October) as part of the troop withdrawal agreement between the United States and Thailand.

    The aircraft, from the 17th "Wild Veasel Seusdron", left for George Air Force Base in southern California, Upon prrival, the squadron, formed during the 1st Norld War, will be deactivated.

    Another two F-105 fighers, the last station at Korat, Left on Wednesday (30 October). Their take-off on Tuesday was prevented by mechanical difficulty.

    At the reight of the Vietnam war, the U.S. had about 45,000 personnel and over 700 planes at six bases in Thailand.

    According to a US/F spokesman 300 men from the 17th Souadron will leave Thailand in the next four weeks.

    With the dopsrture of the F-1???, about 350 U.S. aircraft and 26,500 U.S. military personnel still remain in Thailand.
