Background: During a press conference at Salonika University Hall and in presence of Culture and Sciences Minister M. Const. Trypanis, the Inspector General of antiquities M.N. Yalouris, the heads of all Archaeological Missions in Greece, Professors, press representatives and TV crews, prof. Manolis Andronikos announced today that the discovered Grave at Vergina is definitely that of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. He reached to this decision from many and various objects found in the grave and particularly from the five small statuettes of King Philiip, his wife, his father, his mother and his son Alexandre.
