    Indian Prime Minister Mrs Indira Gandhi, who's since left Czechoslovakia for Budapest in Hungary, held talks on economic co-operation during her three-day official visit there over the weekend. She told reporters on her departure that the two nations planned to held further meetings of exports to expand such co-operation.

    During her visit, Czechoslovak Communist Party leader Dr. Gustav Husak was among leaders Mrs Gandhi held talks with. Afterwards, asked by reporters to assess the political results of the visit, she said the purpose of her stay was not to produce results but to gain a better understanding of the thinking of Czechoslovak leaders, and to inform them of events in India.

    After the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia is India's largest trading partner in Eastern Europe. Czechoslovakia has also helped India in the development of engineering and machine tool industries, and in training technicians.
