    President Houari Boumedienne opened Algeria's seventh International Fair on Friday ( 11 Sept. ) in a pavilion built with the help of architects from Peking.

    Chou Hua Minh, vice minister of commerce for the People's Republic of Chine, was among foreign guests at the formal opening. Peking sent both architects and technicians to help prepare the 100-acre ( 40 hectares ) fairground on a site of 20 kilometres ( 12 miles ) west of Algiers.

    SYNOPSIS: The site of Algeria's seventh international trade fair, 12 miles west of Algiers. The nation's leader Houari Boumeddienne officially opened the fair on Friday ( 11 Sept. ) when he welcomed guests and visitors from all over the world. Some of Algeria's prettiest girls were on duty as hostesses.

    After the opening the President inspected the Palace of Nations which, like the rest of the fakir site, was put together with the help of Chinese technicians and architects. In his party was Mr. Chou Hua Minh, the vice minister of commerce for the Republic of China. Some of the Chinese architects also went along to have a look.

    One of the pavilions from Eastern Europe, the Bulgarian building.

    East Germany was also strongly represented.

    For the President, an interested look at the Palestine pavilion.

    And from Western Europe, the Italian pavilion.

    The West German pavilion.

    And the Egyptian exhibition.
