  • Description

Quebec Liberation Front Lawyer, Robert Lemieux, who walked out of a meeting with Canadian Authorities on Tuesday night(13th) while discussing the possibilities of the release of Liberation Front Hostages James Cross and Pierre Laporte, told a crowded press conference yesterday (Wednesday, 14th October) that he had rejected a suggestion that the talks be transferred to Quebec.

Lemieux said the provincial government had offered to transfer the talks to Quebec, but he had declined to move from Montreal because a satisfactory network between the kidnappers and the mass media had been established there. He felt that any moves to Quebec would prejudice future communication.
