    PARISIANS WERE GIVEN A HUNDRED THOUSAND IDEAS FOR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS TODAY (FRIDAY) WHEN A INTERNATIONAL FAIR OPENED WITH DISPLAYS FROM 88 COUNTRIES. THE OBJECTS DISPLAYED RANGED FROM RARE ANTIQUE SCULPTURE TO JEWELS AND EVEN FRESH FLOWERS FROM AFRICA.

    THE FAIR WAS OPENED BY MADAME SCHUMANN, WIFE OF THE FRENCH FOREIGN MINISTER, M. MAURICE SCHUMANN. SPONSORED BY THE FOREIGN MINISTRY AND THE DIPLOMATIC CORPS, THIS IS THE 15TH ANNUAL FAIR OF ITS KIND HELD IN PARIS.

    ALL THE 100-THOUSAND OBJECTS AT THE FAIR FOR SALE AND THE MONEY RAISED GOES TO AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION WHICH PROMOTES THE EXCHANGE OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS SO THAT THEY CAN WORK TOGETHER AND GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER.

    ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE FAIR IS AN INTERNATIONAL RESTAURANT PRESENTING FOOD FROM ALL THE COUNTRIES TAKING PART IN THE EXHIBITION.

    THE FAIR WILL BE OPEN UNTIL MONDAY (DECEMBER 8TH).
