    The leader of Rhodesia's right wing National Party, Len Idensohn, described Rhodesia's Prime Minister Ian Smith, as a traitor for agreeing to meet with representatives of the African National Council in Victoria Falls on August 25.

    In an interview on Thursday (14 August) Mr. Idensohn said mr. smith was taking part in an act of "pure treachery".

    He said that anyone who was involved in the Victoria Falls conference was"a traitor to the white man's cause in Rhodesia, southern African and perhaps even the world."
    Mr. Idensohn said, "one must never recognise terrorists, one must climate them."
    The National Party leader cited the current situation in Angola as his reason for being against any form of majority rule in Rhodesia.

    He added that the "normal take-over trend pattern has been fixed in Rhodesia...a pattern always used by the communists."
