Asians in Uganda under expulsion orders from President Id ??? have begun to leave for Britain.
A group which left Entebbe Airport in a British charter aircraft on Friday (25 August) were the forerunners of up to fifteen thousand Asians expected to fly to Britain in the next month.
In all, sixty thousand Asians have been ordered to leave Uganda. Canada and India have offered to take up to fifteen thousand.
Most of the remainder are expected to settle in Britain where the Government has set up a Uganda Resettlement Board to help ??? families become established.
