Background: Members of Britain's Millinery Guild today (Monday) presented their fiftieth sow in celebration of their 25th Anniversary. To better display their hat fashions for next autumn, their designers had their models parade in London's Hyde Park.
J. & K. Connor presented a Rembrant beret in white velvet with a gold bow. A Cossack hat called "Zhivago" from Panda is made of wool jersey with a band which continues to form a long drape scarf.
From McCracken and Bowen a combination of Mink and sheer silk jersey-with a floating scarf which can be worn either loosen or draped. Brilliant scarlet was used by Ransom Squire and Higgs fro their pachbloom fedora.
Natural white fox was used by Dolores to produce a luxurious Cossack-style hat. Wile Gina Davies used Zebra-striped pile jersey to make a slouch hat to be worn over an Angora jersey hood.
A breath of the American West-stylized in a purple suede stetson by Edward Mann.
Three very modern designers from three very modern designers; Mitzi Lorenz combined Ranch, Palenino and Ember Mink in a star designe for a halo brim. Space travel impressed Leslie Jones of Walmar Hts to produce a helmet in white and scarlet velour and velvet with brass bull's eyes. And Ronson used Aubergine velvet offset by a silk scarf in aubergine, green and white.
