  • Description

The first Russian aircraft to ever land in South Vietnam was an Afloat airliner on Sunday bringing the Polish and Hungarian contingents of the International Control Commission for the Control and Supervision of the ceasefire.

Under the Paris agreement, signed on Saturday, regional teams from Canada, Indonesia, hungary and Poland are to disperse to seven stations throughout South Vietnam. They were to have done so within 48 hours of the start of the ceasefire but so far they have been held up for lack of agreement on demarcation and provision of transport.
