    Five Arab nations attended an emergency 24-hour summit meeting, in Tripoli on Friday (30 July), to discuss the crisis between the government of Jordan and the Palestinian guerrillas. The five nations -- Libya, Egypt, Syria, and the two Yemens -- condemned Jordan for attempting to "liquidate" the Palestinian guerrillas, but they did not announce any sanctions against King Hussein's government. The meeting was also attended by Palestinian guerrilla leader Yasser Arafat."
