Once again the water has flooded the district of El Valles in the province of Barcelona. The Ripoll and Besos rivers have risen over their margins and out off communications. The same zones which suffered the effects of the floods scarcely a month age, are again afflicted.
At first, the inhabitants escape as best they can from the threatening danger, aided by the generous impulse of which there always have been so many instances among the Spanish people.
The authorities immediately dictate salvage measures. Thanks to this no casualties are recorded; but material losses run high and increase those already experienced recently.
In several points, the torrents are a direct threat to the buildings from which all persons have been evacuated as a measure of caution. A good part of that which has been built after the fist freshet, collapses by the force of the current.
Once again the hardworking Catalonians suffer the affects of a new disaster; once again also the whole of Spain joins in their grief.
