Valery Panov said he hoped to visit England within two weeks to thank the British for their help in supporting his case form abroad.

He said he hoped to make an extensive tour of the West once they had settled down, adding that he had worked out the choreographs of two new ballets which he would like to stage as soon as possible.

On the 'plane with the Panovs were four other Jawish families emigrating to Israel.
