  • Description

Arab Observers, Jordanian military leaders and Arab guerillas held their final meeting in Amman on Saturday (October 24th).

The meeting, last in a recent series designed to organise relations between Jordanian authorities and the guerrillas, was presided over by Tunisia's Prime Minister, Mr. Bahi Ladgham, head of the Arab Higher Committee.

As a result of the meetings, the entire guerrilla movement has undergone reconstruction. Now, all commando groups will come under commando leader Yassar Arafat in Jordan. Saturday's meeting was held to re-examine the agreement already drawn up from earlier meetings, and to put them into effect. Mr. Ladgham urged all those at the meeting to implement the agreement and bury the past.

The need to establish relations between the guerrillas and the Jordanian authorities arises from last month's armed clash between the two sides. One of the speakers at the final meeting was Brigadier-General Hilmi of the Egyptian Army, head of the observer truce committee.
