    Background: President Georges Pompidou of France arrived in the Ivory Coast yesterday (Sunday) on the third stage of his West African tour. He was met by President Houphouet-Boigny and by the most colourful reception ceremony of his visit to French speaking Africa. President and Mme. Pompidou have already visited Mauritania and Senegal - and their tour will continue to Cameroun and Gabon.
    Cameraman Bill Woodman who is based in Abidjan was joined for this coverage by Jean Poignonec from the Visnews Paris Bureau, who is travelling in the French President's press aircraft during the duration of the tour.
