    At the United National on Wednesday the Security Council considered new proposals aimed at strengthening the effectiveness of trade sanctions against Rhodesia.

    The draft resolution, proposed by Somalia, Sudan and Guinea, is aimed particularly at the United States decision to resume imports of Rhodesian chrome. Somali Ambassador Abdul Rahim Abby Farah, main author of the resolution, said he hoped the United States would be able to deny the accuracy of reports that ships were loading chromo one destined form America at the Mozambique ports of Beira and Lourenzo Marques.

    United States Ambassador George Bush offered on explanation of his Government's current position.
