  • Description

Some of Australia's top models sat for hairstyles at a special show in Melbourne, Australia, recently. Keith Dibble was creating Janice Wakely's hair with what he calls Oread after the legendary mountain nymph.

Something from the Orient -- the inspiration of Rex Lane. A little touch of Asia enters Australia hairdressing, to contrast with the European influence. Arthur McCabe calls it "Nom de Plume". Franz Kramer had to stand on a chair to work on his creation which seemed to be heading skywards.

"Shimada" was yet another of these fantastic creations. And "Liquer Fantasia" was complete with a bottle. Imagination and ornamentation run riot in "Flashing Fountain". Far from the normal, this is the work of experts whose thoughts range far and wide. Finally -- "Marie Antoinette". Truly high fantasy.
