President Bourguiba of Tunisia today (Saturday) met the members of the new cabinet appointed by the Prime Minister, Mr Hedi Nouira.
President Bourguiba of Tunisia today (Saturday) met the members of the new cabinet appointed by the Prime Minister, Mr Hedi Nouira. Mr Nouira was appointed premier in succession to Bahi Ladgham four days ago. Mr. Ladgham is to head an Arab committee based in Amman.
The full cabinet list is: Hedi Nouira, prime minister; Mohammed Fitouri, justice minister; Mohammed Masmoudi, foreign minister; Hamed Mestiri, interior minister; Hassib Ben Ammar, defence minister; Abderrazak Rassaa, finance minister; Tijani Chelly, economy minister; Abdallah Farhat, agriculture minister; Chedli Ayari, education minister; Habib Boulares, information minister; Mansour Moalla, planning minister; Tahar Belkhodja, youth and sports minister.
Mr Nouira dropped the president's son, Habib Bourguiba Junior, from the cabinet and from his post as Justice Minister. Mr Bourguiba is at present undergoing medical treatment is Switzerland for an unspecified complaint.
