    Kenya's permanent United Nations Representative, Mr. Joseph Odero-Jowi, addressed the Security Council meeting on Monday (19 March) and appealed for help from Latin America to gain control of its territories in Africa from Portugal.

    In his opening address, Mr. Joseph Odero-Jowi said he appealed to all his country's brothers in Latin America to do all in their power to convince the Portuguese to abandon their overlordship of his country's territories.

    He also said he wanted to emphasise the need for unity between the peoples of Latin America and the peoples of Asian and Africa as members of the Third World.
