Moscow had added thirty-one schools by the 1st of September. Twenty-two of this number are new-type schools, each consisting of two light airy buildings linked by a gallary. The first three-storied building houses spacious classrooms, the second- training workshops and gymnasium. Every such school is intended for about one thousand boys and girls. This is an experimental school for two thousand students, blueprinted by Soviet Architects.
The classrooms are full of light. A big gymnasium can accommodate for up to seventy people at time. A separate building houses a carpentry shop, a metal work shop, and a classroom for domestic science, where children are also taught etiquette.
After classes the children can have dinner in a canteen with a perfectly equipped kitchen. Above it is a conference hall.
Over thirty thousand first-formers name to Moscow schools on the 1st of September.
