TRANSCRIPT: SEQ. 5: REPORTER: "How does it feel to be back among the people of New York?"
ALI: "Nice being back, you know. Right now I am only concentrating on conditioning. After three years lay off and six weeks notice to meet the number one contender, It's almost a miracle thing to do".
REPORTER: "What is the physical problem that you have? Are you overweight?"
ALI: "Yes. I was about 30 pounds overweight two months ago. Now I am about 8 pounds overweight. It was a rush getting my weight down. And that is not too healthy. And then I have to toughen up my muscles now. Between me and Bodeen and my trainer here, we will be ready."
BODEEN: "We are going to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee."
REPORTER: "And as far as the other things are concerned and all the controversy of the past, that's behind you?..."

Background: Mohammed Ali, the former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, applied for a boxing licence yesterday at the New York State Athletic Commission Offices. A spokesman for the Commission said that it was likely that Mohammed Ali would get his licence when his application is considered on Monday.
Mohammed Ali, who was formerly known as Cassius Clay, was divested of his world title and suspended by the New york State Athletic Commission and the World Boxing Association after his conviction in June 1967 for evading conscription. He was sentence to ??? but has been free on bail pending appeals. A Federal judge ruled that his suspension was arbitrary and unreasonable and the Athletic Commission agreed to consider licensing him again. Mohammed Ali is due to fight Jerry Quarry in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 26.
