MR. MASAYUKI YOKOYAMA, JAPAN'S ROVING ENVOY, ARRIVED IN PARIS THIS MORNING (SATURDAY) FOR TALKS WITH FRENCH LEADERS ON VIETNAM. HE HAS BEEN ASKED BY THE JAPANESE PRIME MINISTER, MR. EISAKU SATO, TO GO ON A THREE-MONTH WORLD TOUR TO DISCOVER PROSPECTS FOR A PEACEFUL SOLUTION TO THE VIETNAM CONFLICT.

ASKED IF JAPAN SHARED FRANCE'S VIEWS ON VIETNAM, MR. YOKOYAMA SAID HIS COUNTRY "DID NOT YET FULLY KNOW PRESIDENT DE GAULLE'S OPINION WHICH JAPAN PERHAPS DID NOT FULLY SHARE."
THE JAPANESE ENVOY IS EXPECTED TO HAVE TALKS WITH THE FRENCH FOREIGN MINISTER, M. COUVE DE MURVILLE. LATER HE HAS PLANS TO GO ON TO BRUSSELS, LONDON AND GENEVA. HIS TOUR WILL ALSO TAKE HIM TO COUNTRIES WHERE THE VIETCONG ARE BELIEVED TO HAVE REPRESENTATIVES.

THE HANOI NEWSPAPER NHAN DAN HAS ATTACKED THE SATO GOVERNMENT AND DECLARED THAT THERE COULD BE NO RESULT FROM MR. YOKOYAMA'S TOUR.
