    In Singapore, the wreckage of a car bomb explosion in which a Malaysian citizen was killed and a former terrorist suspect seriously injured yesterday (Friday).

    Later, in an apparently relater incident, police discovered three more bombs outside the Singapore office of a Malaysian shoe factory which is currently the subject of a labour dispute.

    The dead man was identified as Lim Chin Huat, aged 83, of Johore, the South Malaysian state where the shoe factory is sited. Police said the wounded man was Singapore citizen Gay Sing Guan. He was among a number of suspects detained for a time following a series of bloody trap bombs planted by the Communist Malaysian National Liberation Front in 1970.

    Among the wreckage police said they found an unexploded bomb and some pamphlets condemning management persecution of Workers at the Nanyang Shoe Factory in Johore Bahru, the main town in Johore State.

    Singapore police last might were searching for a third man who escaped from the car after the blast, according to syewitnesses interviewed by police.
