Convoys of ambulances and lorries, some of them carrying medical supplies, others carrying food and water, are being turned back towards Lebanon. And with them go the doctors and nurses who are offering to help treat the people injured during the recent fighting.

The relief teams going into Jordan are being organised by a variety of relief organisations, including the Red Cross and the Red Crescent. Since the recent bitter civil war in Jordan, both the Government and the guerrillas are very sensitive about foreign help, even medical help for the victims of the fighting.
