Dr. Lansana Beavogui, Prime Minister of Guinea, arrived in Mauritania late last week for a six-day official visit. he and his delegation were greeted by the Mauritanian Interior Minister Ahmed Ould Mohamed Sallah.
Dr. Beavogue attended a dinner in his honour given by Mauritanian President Moktar Ould Daddah and the following night the Prime Minister held a reception at the guinean Embassy.
On Tuesday (23 April) he and his party left on a tour of the Country which included the iron mines at Zwouerat and the part development at Nouadhibou.
On Saturday (19 April) a special envoy from Nigeria arrived for talks with President Moktah Ould Daddah. He is Mr. Erwin Clark, the Nigerian Commissioner of Information.
He brought the Mauritanian President a personal message from the Nigerian Head of State General Gowon.
