    THE SOUTH VIETNAMESE DEPUTY PREMIER, MR. NGUYEN XUAN OANH, ACCOMPANIED BY MR. ALEXIS JOHNSON, DEPUTY AMERICAN AMBASSADOR AND GENERAL WILLIAM WESTMORELAND, COMMANDER OF AMERICAN TROOPS IN SOUTH VIETNAM, BOARDED THE SHIP TO THANK THE SAILORS FOR BRINGING THE SUPPLIES.

    THE SUPPLIES WHICH WERE BROUGHT FROM HONGKONG, CONSISTED OF 1,500 TONS OF FLOUR, MEDICINES TEXTILES AND BLANKETS. THE ITEMS WERE LATER SHIPPED ASHORE BY THE SHIP'S HELICOPTERS FOR DISTRIBUTION. TO RELIEF CENTRES THROUGHOUT THE SEVEN FLOOD-STRICKEN AREAS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN SOUTH VIETNAM PROVINCES.
