    THEY WERE GREETED AT THE AIRPORT BY TOGO PRESIDENT ETIENE EYADEMA. THE VISITORS WERE IN TOGO FOR THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF NATIONAL LIBERATION DAY, WHICH TOOK PLACE ON JANUARY 13TH. THE VISITORS WATCHED A COLOURFUL PARADE THROUGH THE CITY WHICH CELEBRATED THE OCCASION.

    PRESIDENT LAMIZANA LEFT TOGO FOR OUAGADOUGOU AFTER A STAY OF 24 HOURS AND M. BOURGES STAYED ON FOR TALKS ON FRANCO-TOGOLESE CO-OPERATION.

    HE DESCRIBED CO-OPERATION BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES AS "SUBSTANTIAL AND PROFOUND."
    LIBERATION DAY CELEBRATES THE ARMY COUP IN 1967. PRESIDENT EYADEMA BECAME HEAD OF STATE IN APRIL 1967.
