  • Description

Ernie Hunt scored quite a remarkable goal for Coventry City on Saturday (October 3) in their home match against the league champions Everton.

The goal came after Coventry had been awarded a free-kick. The Everton defenders formed the customary "Wall" and Coventry's Carr stood over the ball. Suddenly he back-flipped the ball from between his legs and Hunt raced in to volley the ball through the wall and past Rankin the Everton goalkeeper.

It was Hunt's second goal of the match and it put Coventry 3-1 ahead of Everton, and that remained the final score.
