A large number of animals from Greenland is now in the Copenhagen zoogarden, and will stay until next spring, then the animals will be moved up to other parts of the big cold country. Today arrived onboard the famous Polarship Kista Dan a large number of Moskus oxe and sealions some few penguins.
On east greenland it is very bad for the animals - it is very difficult to fine any food on east Greenland, and the Danish state decide therefore to send up an expedition to catch this animals, bring them down to Copenhagen, and when the winter is over on Greenland, then send them back to the west coast of Greenland. There is much better chance to fine food on the west coast of Greenland, the Danish state was able to move a large number of reindeers from Norway to West Greenland some years ago, and now there is a very large colony of reindeers on this coast line.
The situation for the others type of animals, as the moskus oxe, there is now just few oxe I live on Greenland, and the Danish government start therefore this expedition to sail up to east Greenland, catch some oxes and send them down to Denmark. Now the animals will stay the winter over in Denmark and when the spring comes the animals will return to Greenland west coast, and it is a hope this oxe will get a large numbers of babies on Greenland, and the number of wild animals on the cold island, the world's biggest island will grow up again.
There is a good shot of the sealions, there was no water in the basin when the animals arrived, but soon, when the water arrived the sealions start to play, swim up and down in the swimming pool.
