Background: Twice a year, at least, Paris aims to re-shape the women of half the world with its latest fashions in clothes. And here, at the stage in between bleak winter and gay Spring Guy Laroche is presenting his new lines for summer. For the men, there's a pretty girl to look at, at least, and for the women - well, nothing freakish, but rather a fashion of charm and simplicity. Laroche, in fact, has sought to strike a happy medium between the extremes of the other fashion designers. And though most men profess to deplore all changes in fashion, most women will like what M. Laroche has to offer.
