Background: A delegation from Tunisia has been visiting The People's Republic of China.

The delegation, led by the Tunisian Foreign Minister, Mohammed Masmoudi, was met at Peking airport by Foreign Minister Chi Peng-fei and his deputy.

Also present were other Chinese officials and the heads of various diplomatic missions in Peking.

Mr. Masmoudi later had several meetings with Chinese leaders.

He visited The People's Republic of China as part of a 22-day tour of Asian capitals.
