Background: From the Sudan, where his delegation discussed plans for setting up diplomatic relations at Embassy level, Dr. Nkrumah of Ghana flew to Tunis. There he was received at the Palace of President Bourguiba and decorated with a Sash of honour in recognition of his services towards good relations between North African and other African States.
Accompanying the Ghana Premier were several of his ministers, including Mr. Ayah Kumi-chairman of the Industrial Development Corporation, -- and the Chief Education Officer of Ghana, Mr. Brown.
After the decoration of Dr. Nkrumah and several of his party, there was a cocktail party, and, a Dinner in their honour at the Majestic Hotel.
