    AMERICA'S RACE PROBLEMS ... A DEMONSTRATION IN TOWNVIEW, OHIO, A SUBURB OF DAYTON. IT TOOK PLACE OUTSIDE THE HOME OF JAMES FULLER, A NEGRO MASONRY CONTRACTOR, WHO MOVED INTO THE ALL-WHITE SUBURB WITH HIS WIFE AND THREE CHILDREN ON TUESDAY ..
    PROTESTING AGAINST THEIR MOVE WERE ABOUT ONE HUNDRED WHITE TEEN-AGERS AND A HANDFUL OF ADULTS, INCLUDING ONE WEARING HEADGEAR TYPIFYING THE KU KLUX KLAN. THERE WERE CHANTS LIKE .. "TWO, FOUR, SIX, EIGHT, RUN THE NIGGERS OUT OF THE STATE."
    POLICE REPORTED THAT EGGS, ROCKS AND BOTTLES WERE THROWN AT MR. FULLER'S NEW HOME. ABOUT ONE HUNDRED RIOT-TRAINED POLICE WERE CALLED ON TO BREAK THEM UP. NO ONE WAS HURT. THREE PERSONS WERE HANDCUFFED AND HUSTLED INTO POLICE VANS ... AD RELEASED LATER AFTER QUESTIONING.

    MOST OF THE DEMONSTRATORS RETREATED BEFORE THE POLICE CLUBS, BUT SOME PAUSED IN THEIR YARDS TO PROTEST, AND THE POLICE COULD NOT FORCE THEM INSIDE. MEANWHILE, JAMES FULLER AND HIS WIFE, TENSE AND NERVOUS, NEVERTHELESS HAVE VOWED TO "STICK IT OUT". THE FAMILY FORMERLY LIVED IN A RENTED HOME IN A NEGRO AREA OF DAYTON. THE POLICE ARE KEEPING THE STREET BLOCKED OFF TO PREVENT ANY MORE DEMONSTRATIONS.
