General Francois Louis Maurin (Air Force), Chief of Staff, French Armed Forces, will visit the United States April 24-May 3, 1973, as the guest of Admiral Thomas H. Moorer, USN, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff.
A joint military honours ceremony for General Maurin will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 1973, at the River Entrance to the Pentagon. General Maurin will then pay courtesy calls on Admiral Moorer and Deputy Secretary of Defense William P. Clements, Jr.; meet with the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and visit the National Military Command Centre. Thursday, April 26, General Maurin will meet with Admiral Moorer, participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and pay a courtesy call on Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense (International Security Affairs) Lawrence S. Egleburger.
Among military installations to be visited by General Maurin are Grand Forks Air Force Base, North ??? the Air Force Tactical Fighter Weapons Centre at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada; the North American Air Defense Command and the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and Naval facilities at Charleston, South Carolina.
