    Passing through Tokyo on his way to Peking after accompanying President Gerald Ford to South Korea and vladivostok, United States Secretary of State Henry Kissinger met with his Japanese counterpart Toshio Kimura in Tokyo on Monday (25th November).

    Meeting at Tokyo's Foreign Ministry building, the two foreign-policy makers ???aged reports on recent developments. Dr. Kissinger advised Mr. Kimura on the results of President Ford's visit to South Korea to meet President Park Chung-hee, and on the President's summit meeting with Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev in Vladivostok.

    Dr. Kissinger was also expected to hear details of the expected new Japanese government line-up following the imminent resignation of Japanese Premier KaKuei Tanaka.

    In his turn Foreign Secretary Kimura advised Dr. Kissinger of the Japanese reaction to proposals on a possible oil consumers cartel put forward by recently visiting French Foreign Minister Jean Sauvagnargues.

    Shortly after his brief meeting with Mr. Kimura, Dr. Kissinger flew off to Peking for talks with Chinese leaders. He will return Briefly to Tokyo on completion of the Peking visit.
