    WEDNESDAY'S MARCH TO THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL, IN WHICH THE VOICE AND OPINION OF THE COUNTRY'S 20 MILLION NEGROES WAS HEARD AND SEEN BY MILLIONS OF TELEVISION VIEWERS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY AND IN EUROPE.AND NOW COMES THE BIG QUESTION - WILL CONGRESS TAKE HEED.

    MANY OBSERVERS AGREE WITH PRESIDENT KENNEDY'S ASSESSMENT THAT THE DEMONSTRATION HAD ADVANCED THE CAUSE OF AMERICAN NEGROES.BUT AS THE PRESIDENT EMPHASISED TO THE REVEREND MARTIN LUTHER KING, MR A PHILIP RANDOLPH AND OTHER LEADERS OF THE MARCH AT THE WHITE HOUSE ON WEDNESDAY, PASSAGE OF EFFECTIVE CIVIL RIGHTS LEGISLATION THIS YEAR WILL REQUIRE STRONG BIPARTISAN SUPPORT.PRESIDENT KENNEDY HAS SAID HIS ADMINISTRATION WOULD CONTINUE ITS EFFORTS TO OBTAIN INCREASED EMPLOYMENT AND TO ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES.
