    AFTER ARRIVING AT THE PETERSBERG HOTEL IN BONN, WHICH COMMANDS A FINE VIEW OVER THE RIVER RHINE, PRESIDENT ABBOUD WAS DUE TO MEET MEMBERS OF THE DIPLOMATIC CORPS IN BONN DURING THE AFTERNOON AND ATTEND AN OFFICIAL RECEPTION IN THE EVENING. ON APR 12 PRESIDENT ABBOUD WAS TO MEET THE WEST GERMAN CHANCELLOR, KR. KONRAD ADENAUER, WHO INTERRUPTED HIS HOLIDAY IN ITALY, TO RECEIVE HIS VISITOR FROM THE SUDAN. DURING HIS EIGHT-DAY VISIT, PRESIDENT ABBOUD WILL SEE INDUSTRIES IN THE RUHR AND TOUR THE CITIES OF DUSSELDOR, BREMEN AND BERLIN.

    PRESIDENT ABBOUD RECEIVED THE INVITATION TO VISIT WEST GERMANY WHEN HE ATTENDED THE GERMAN INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION IN KHARTOUM IN NOVEMBER. A SUDANESE SPOKESMAN SAID THE VISIT WAS "A NATURAL RESULT OF EXPANDING COMMERCIAL CO-OPERATION" BETWEEN THE COUNTRIES.

    WEST GERMANY PROVIDES A MAJOR SHARE OF FOREIGN FINANCING OF SUDANESE DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES, MOST OF THE MODERN FACTORIES IN THE SUDAN ARE GERMAN EQUIPPED.
