    West German Chancellor Willy Brandt laid a wreath at the Shah Abdul Aziz Mausoleum in Teheran on Monday (6 March) on the first full day of his four-day visit to Iran -- his first to a Middle East country as head of government. He arrived in Teheran on Sunday (5 March).

    The mausoleum is the resting place of the present Shah's father- During the day, Herr Brandt and the Shah had two hours of "frank and friendly" talks on bilateral relations, political affairs and economic cooperation, it was reported. The two leaders were said to have discussed a joint venture in the oil business and the two countries agreed in principle to form a joint committee to work out ways that West German investment would participate in Iranian development plans.

    It was reported that the Shah and the Chancellor had an identity of views on expanding mutual relations and the settlement of such "minor problems" as hostile propaganda by certain Iranian groups in West Germany.

    SYNOPSIS: The Shah Abdul Aziz Mausoleum in Teheran was one West German Chancellor Willy Brandt's initial stops on Monday on the first full day of his four-day visit to Iran. herr Brandt was preparing to lay a wreath on the last resting place of the present Shah of Iran's father. Many dignitaries were on hand for the occasion.
