  • Description

Southern Africa - and while President Kaunda of Zambia dismisses prospects for a peaceful solution to the black-while confrontation there, SWAPO leader Sam Nujoma says Israelis are helping South Africa's military operation in Namibia.

SYNOPSIS: In Lusaka, the Zambian capital, a college has been opened to train administrators for Namibia after independence, which South Africa intends to grant to recognised representatives. President Kaunda opened it on Thursday.

After leading his audience at the college opening in the national song -- Tiende Pamodze, all pull together -- the President dismissed prospects for peace in southern Africa. "Now we fight", he said. The accusation of Israeli military involvement in Namibia also came from the President of the South West Africa People's Organisation, Mr. Sam Nujoma.
