The action was in the second half, with Villa in the white shorts, playing left to right. Their winger, number seven, Ray Graydon, turned in the best performance of the match. It was Graydon who laid on a chance for Hamilton.
And it was Graydon again who laid on another goal attack which should have led to a goal.
Minutes later and Graydon linked up with Little who also had a splendid game.
The same move ... and Graydon in the penalty area.
The only goal of the match came with just minutes to go ... and it was machine who gave away a penalty. Graydon took the kick. Keelan saved it, but Graydon was there again. And that was it. The Cup was back at Villa Park for the second time ... and they're not finished yet. They still have a good chance of promotion to the first division.

The first half was very even with neither side having many scoring chances. In the second half Villa gradually got on top and just before the end were awarded a penalty after a Norwich player pushed the ball off the line with his hand.
The penalty was taken by Graydon. The Norwich goalkeeper Keelan deflected the ball against the goal post, but Graydon was quick to put the rebound into the net.
The win gave Villa the League Cup for the second time ... and they are still well placed in the league to move into the first division.
