SYNOPSIS: Arriving at Algiers Airport on Saturday the Foreign Minister of neighbouring Tunisia, M. Masmoudi. He was beginning a six-day official visit to Algeria -- and was greeted by his Algerian counterpart, M. Bouteflika.
M. Masmoudi was given a full state welcome when he landed -- and he and M. Bouteflika inspected a guard of honour before leaving the tarmac. But despite the pomp of the arrival ceremony this visit is due to be very much a working affair. Lengthy talks are scheduled between the two foreign ministers -- who are expected to review the Middle East situation among other world problems. M. Masmoudi will also have meetings with other Algerian Ministers -- and with President Boumedienne.
Inside the airport building -- a short news conference at which the two men discussed their programme for the present visit.
