    The Mayor, of Baghdad, Sd. Ibrahim Mohamad ismail, today (20/4) opened the 4th Conference of the Organization of Arab cities. 60 Delegations representing 60 Arab Cities are taking part in the 6-day Conference, Which is being held under the Slogan Fora developing and Prosperous Arab City. The Conference is attended also by representatives of the United nations, the United cities Organization, the World Bank, and the Arab league, along with professors from the universities of Baghdad, Cairo, and Kuwait. Other government agencies are also taking part. In the opening speech, the Mayor underscord the attention given the conference of President Ahmad Hassan Al-Bakr, and the revolutionary government, and expressed hope that the meetings and discussions will give positive results. He also said that this occasion will be a good opertunity for viewing the outstanding achievements of the city of Baghdad which reflects the overall progress achieved thought the country. Then, the Mayor of Cairo presented gifts to the conference participants. Afterwards the Secretary General of the Organization of Arab cities delivered the organizations address, in which he greeted resent Ahmad Hassan Al-Bakr and the revoultionary government of Iraq, and reviewed the problems encountered by Arab stressing that the main tasks ahead are those dealing with economic and social aspects, and the problems of Pollution. Later, Speakers representing a number of Arab cities delivered speechers on the occasion
