Background: An agreement on the setting up of a Joint Commission is initiated by Indian and Pakistani Foreign Secretaries in New Delhi Today. The Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan will meet here in March 1983 to sign the Agreement formally setting up commission of which they will be co-Chairman. The Joint Commission will tackle Indo-Pakistan problems relating to Economic cooperation , Trade, Industries, education, Health, cultural Cooperation, tourism etc. This the first time since independence that the two countries have set up the Joint Commission to promote relations between the two countries in these sphere.
