Background: The marriage of the famous 87-year-old Swedish composer, Hugo Alfven, to Anna Lund - twenty years his junior - was filmed by Visnews June 14 at Tibble village, home of the bridegroom.

Hugo Alfven first war his bride fifty years ago, when he was conducting a church choir of which Anna was a member. He has recently been ill and was unable to write a wedding composition for his bride.

For the wedding, the bride was dressed in local peasant costume, a harvester dress with a white 'kelinghat'.

One of the composer's best known pieces of music is his "Swedish Rhapsody". This was written many years ago, and formed the basis of a more recent popular version - of the same name - composed by an American.
