    THE FINAL DAY BEGINS WITH THE MOTOR CAR GRAND PRIX FOR CARS UP TO 4,000 C.C.OVER SIXTY LAPS OF THE THREE-MILES CIRCUIT.THE WINNER, ALBERT POON, OF HONG KONG, DRIVING A LODUS 23 (NO.23).HIS TIME FOR 180 MILES IS 2 HRS.37.46 MINS.FIVE CARS GO INTO THE DITCH BUT NONE IS INJURED.A CLOSE SECOND WAS N.K.YONG, OF SINGAPORE IN JAGUAR E (NO.70).

    THE INTERNATIONAL MOTOR-CYCLE RACE WAS A STRUGGLE FROM START TO FINISH BETWEEN BRITISH NORTONS (499 C.C.) AND THE SPRIGHTLY JAPANESE YAMAHA'S (250 C.C).IT WAS A CONVINCING WIN FOR BRITAIN'S CHRIS COHN (NO.77) WHO LED THROUGHOUT TO WIN IN 2 HOURS 32 MINUTES 35.8 SECONDS.HIS CLOSE OPPONENT WAS FUMIO ITOH ON A YAMAHA (NO.21) WAS SET A NEW RECORD LAP TIME OF 2 MINUTES 27 SECONDS FOR 3 MILES.HALF WAY THROUGH THE RACE, A MECHANICAL FAULT PUT ITOH ALMOST A LAP BEHIND COHN BUT HE WAS ONLY 12 SECONDS BEHIND AT THE FINISH.U.D.JINADASA, OF CEYLON (NORTON NO.32) WAS THIRD AND T.NIGHTINGALE (YAMAHA NO.47) FOURTH.
