  • Description

Reflecting Italy's booming trade, the 38th International Trade Fair, was opened in Milan, Apr 12, by Italian Minister for Industry and Commerce Signor Colombo. Stands of 55 Nations show the interest foreign manufacturers take in the Italian market.

On exhibition are products ranging from the British Board of Trade's electronic goods display, to the latest styles in furniture. One exhibitor has constructed an indoor harbour with a motor cruiser moored alongside. This eye catcher was used with great success at a recent Boat Show held in London.

Following the pattern of most international trade exhibitions, there is something of interest for everyone who visits the fair grounds. In the mechanical section modern types of agricultural machinery are ons how, for the interest of farmers. Industrialists will be able to examine the various models in railway wagons.

Last year about four million people visited the Fair. This number is expected to be passed before the exhibition closes on Apr 27.
