Background: WHILE preparing the report about the deformed Inca skulls, I obtained dates about the existence of skulls of the chibcha indians of the heights of Colombia, (where the legend of 'El Dorado' originated) with deformations produced already during childhood.

They were very like the ones of the Incas, although predominated by the lowering of the front with main depression on the "parietales"; one did not find such deformation before.

One knows certainly that the chibchas went on to deform skulls, but its possible that there were Inca influences.

The first skulls discovered with the forehead depression for "percussion" are those which you see in the adjoining note. There is also a skull with frontal depression and the typical "percussion" like all others on the left side.

Details of order of the plan: To the greatest part there exists a chibcha skull pre-columbian, of normal shape, to make clearer the deformation of the others.

Until to-day one had found skulls with four types of deformations:
    NO!...No 2...No.3...No4....
To No 1, the phrenologists have attributed a mystic and possibly clairvoyant quality, one attributes to this deformation sanguinary instincts. One thinks it belongs to the priests as one has found it in graves which indicate that they belong to the class of priests. And since they had to make the sacrifices to the Sun, it it well possible that they posseded a cruel and sanguinary capacity.

The second one attributed to the medicinman, this theory because in drawings one saw persons with this deformation as doctors or trying some cure.

No 3 belong to the military chiefs and the last, Nov. to the "verdugos" thugs? cruel person, ??
You can see that the deformation of Chibcha is like the Inca priests.

Recently one has discovered in Santander Del Norte a Chibcha sanctuary and from there comes the skull with two deformations. If you are interested material of opening of graves one in my presence, would you please let me know.
