    SO WERE HUNDREDS OF AFRICAN SUPPORTERS CHANTING SLOGANS AND WAVING PLACARDS OPPOSED TO THE FEDERATION.SOME FORECAST BLOODSHED.KAUNDA HIMSELF TOLD REPORTERS: "THE FEDERATION IS DEAD.AND IT CANNOT BE REVIVED.THERE CAN BE NO COMPROMISE ON SECESSION."
    DURING HIS VISIT, BUTLER CONFERRED WITH MANY OTHER POLITICAL LEADERS.ONE OF THEM IS THE PARAMOUNT CHIEF OF BAROTSELAND, SIR MWANWINA LEWANIKA.HE IS REPORTED TO BE SERIOUSLY DISTURBED BY POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS.
