Background: It is an old, more thousand years old tradition in Hungary that in the beginning of the winter season the pig sticking begins. It is indeed a ceremony, the members of the owners family, friends are gathering to velbrate together the event. In our film we can see pig sticking in the country Komarom, in the small village Aszar. In this village there is operating a collective farm, but pigs are in the household of the peasants too. The butcher has the main role in pig sticking. He is the best butcher of the village, the sticking is a real ceremony, they prepare in advance the different species, rice and the knife. The owner of the pig assist to the butcher, and the family too. The first task is to burn down the fur of the pig, in the last time they do it with the help of gas. After this the butcher has do his best: they but the pig in two parts and they elaborate it, on the end they make sausages, cheese, filled cabbage and the society has a dinner together.
