    TRANSCRIPT (SEQUENCE 4)

MR. CAMERON: "I CONSIDER THAT IT WAS RIGHT AND ESSENTIAL THAT I LEAVE MALAWI AT THIS STAGE."

INTERVIEWER: "IS TRUE THAT YOU WERE MOLESTED A FEW DAYS AGO BY MALAWI LEAGUE PEOPLE?"

MR. CAMERON: "TO A CERTAIN EXTENT, YES."

INTERVIEWER: "SUFFICIENT FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO HAVE TO PUT AN ARMED GUARD ON YOUR HOUSE?"

MR. CAMERON: "THERE HAS BEEN AN ARMED GUARD ON THE HOUSE FOR ABOUT FOUR OR FIVE NIGHTS, YES. WE WERE NOT LIVING ON OUR OWN HOUSE, WE HAD MOVED TO ANOTHER HOUSE ALONG WITH ANOTHER COUPLE."

INTERVIEWER: "DO YOU THINK THAT MR. CHIPEMBERE REMAINING IN MALAWI WOULD POSSIBLY LEAD TO REBELLION?"

MR. CAMERON: "WHAT IT DOES MEAN IS THAT HE HAS NOT RUN AWAY, AS WAS SAID PREVIOUSLY. HE INTENDS TO STAY WITH HIS PEOPLE."

INTERVIEWER: "ARE YOU DISAPPOINTED AT THE TURN OF EVENTS IN MALAWI?"

MR. CAMERON: "I THINK ITS TRAGIC, TRAGIC".

    INTERVIEWER: "WHY PARTICULARLY?"

MR. CAMERON: "BECAUSE WE HAVE LIVED HERE FOR THE LAST SEVEN YEARS, AND WE HAVE HOMES HERE, AND TAKEN AN ACTIVE PART TRYING TO HELP DEVELOP THE COUNTRY. IT IS TRAGIC TO SEE THE STRUCTURE BREAKING DOWN."

INTERVIEWER: "WOULD YOU DESCRIBE MALAWI AS A DEMOCRACY TODAY?"

MR. CAMERON: CERTAIN NOT, CERTAIN NOT.."

INTERVIEWER: "MR. CAMERON, WHAT ARE YOUR OWN PLANS FOR THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE?"

MR. CAMERON: "TO GO BACK TO SCOTLAND AND SETTLE DOWN THERE FOR THE TIME BEING."
